Boulgarian part
Dr.E.Bournaski is Research Associate Professor working on pipe
flow modeling, environmental flows, computational hydraulic and hydrology.
He had been part-time Ass. Professor at the Technical University of
Sofia on applied numerical methods in engineering. His projects are
supported by NSF of Bulgaria, inter-academic exchange programme of
BASci., FP5 of EU and several industrial partners. He was Visiting
Researcher at National Polytechnical University of Athens, Greece,
December 1998 - July 1999. He has a NATO Linkage Grant "Data
Assimilation Schemes for coupled eco-hydrodynamical Models.",
1999-2001 with OGS, Trieste, Italy.
Prof.I.Ivanov, has a long experience in analysis and operation
of water-pressurized systems, turbulent flows; hydrotransport, river
flows and environmental hydraulics. He completed his PhD at "V.Kuibishev"
Institute of Civil Engineering, Moscow, where he took the academic
appointment of Assoc. Professor. In Bulgaria he received Dr.Sc. at
Technical University of Sofia. He headed the Hydraulic group of Institute
of Water Problems and a relevant seminar until 2000.
Dr. Radko Petkov is Research Assoc. Professor in the Institute
and Head of the Department of Water resources quality protection.
He is specialist in Fluid Mechanics and Computational Hydraulics;
Ecological optimisation of locations of pollution sources in porous
media and numerical methods. He is member of several professional
organizations as Federation of Scientific and Technical Organizations
in Bulgaria.
