  • Information system of company locations, supply of sites, infrastructure and technology profiles with GIS background for EA Styria (1992)
  • Information System for the OMV (oil and gas company) operations in Austria focused on the environmental site characterization (1996)
  • Integration prototype to solve environmental and land use conflicts:
Lower Austria province (area of approx. 123 km2 - Amstetten, Winklarn, Ybbsfeld...) The GIS plays the role of a pre, post processor and measurement tool for the central numerical decision model of scoring- and market functions for assessing concurrent land use strategies (1991-1996)
  • Oc3C - A case study was developed to test the decision support model based on indicator scores using the GIS as a preprocessor. For the area of investigation, the "Mattigtal", extending over 300 km2 in the south-western part of Upper Austria province.
Using the GIS as a preprocessor, 179 individual areas have been identified for assessment. As a main step in preparing and supporting decision making, the used scoring model was adapted to the requirements of the areas problem, using 5 different scenarios. This result in priority ranking of areas of the maximal socio-economical benefit for each possible land use alternative. Results were visualized by using again GIS again.
